Week 4 Softball Rankings

The top ten takes into account a team's overall record, strength of schedule and team's post season potential.

1. Fletcher (11-0)
Previous ranking: No. 1
Last week: Went 3-0 with wins over Yulee, Paxon, Fernandina Beach
Key wins: Mandarin, Baker County, Hilliard, Yulee, Paxon
Key losses: None
This week: Ponte Vedra (Mar 9), Orange Park (Mar 10), Buchholz (Mar 13)
Comment: The Senators keep rolling along with three more wins to remain undefeated on the season.

2. Providence (9-0)
Previous ranking: No. 2
Last week: Went 3-0 with wins over St. Johns, Gainesville, Pine Castle
Key wins: Eagle's View, Gainesville
Key losses: None
This week: St. Joseph (Mar 12), Hilliard (Mar 13), Wewahitchka (Mar 14)
Comment: Stallions keep cruising including two road wins at 5A Gainesville and Orlando Pine Castle.

3. Baker County (8-1)
Previous ranking: No. 5
Last week: Went 3-0 with wins over Middleburg, Bradford, Clay
Key wins: Hilliard, Clay
Keylosses: Fletcher
This week: Hilliard (Mar 9), Ridgeview (Mar 10), at Suwannee (Mar 13)
Comment: Baker County moves up two spots after an impressive win over No. 8 Clay along with wins over Middlerburg and Bradford.

4. Bartram Trail (8-1)
Previous ranking: No. 7
Last week: Went 3-0 with wins over White, Sandalwood, First Coast
Key wins: Bishop Kenny, Bolles
Key losses: Eagle's View
This week: Lee (Mar 10), at Creekside (Mar 11), at Mandarin (Mar 13)
Comment: Bears climb the rankings after picking up three more wins and seeing other teams fall.

5. Mandarin (7-2)
Previous ranking: No. 3
Last week: Went 2-1 with wins over Buchholz, Stanton
Key wins: Stanton
Key losses: Fletcher, Bishop Kenny
This week: Sandalwood (Mar 10), at Orange Park (Mar 12), Bartram Trail (Mar 13)
Comment: Mustangs fall a little bit down the ranking after stunning loss to Bishop Kenny.

6. Eagle's View (6-3)

Last week: Went 2-1 with wins over Mandarin Christian, First Coast Christian
Key wins: Bartram Trail, Bishop Snyder, Nease
Key losses: Orange Park, Hilliard, Providence
This week: at West Nassau (Mar 10), at Hilliard (Mar 12), at Trinity (Mar 13)
Comment: Eagle's View dropped two spots after loss to Hilliard, despite wins over Mandarin Christian and First Coast Christian.

7. Stanton (10-1)

Last week: Went 2-1 with wins over Forrest, Jackson
Key wins: Bishop Kenny, Paxon
Key losses: Mandarin

Comment: Stanton's 10 game winning streak came to end with a loss to Mandarin, dropping the Blue Devils one spot.

8. Clay (7-3)

Key wins: Palm Coast, Orange Park
Key losses: Suwannee, Baker County
This week: at Bradford (Mar 13)
Comment: Despite loss to No. 5 Baker County, Clay stays put in rankings, picking up two more wins this week.

9. West Nassau (8-1)
Previous ranking: No. 9
Last week: Went 2-0 with wins over Bishop Snyder, Bolles
Key wins: Bolles, Baldwin
Key losses: Yulee
This week: Eagle's View (Mar 10), Lincoln tournament (Mar 13-14)
Comment: Warriors keep crusing along with seventh consecutive win, including huge district win over Bolles.

10. Bolles (9-2)
Previous ranking: No. 10
Last week: Went 2-1 with wins over Trinity, Madison County
Key wins: Palatka, Yulee, Madison County
Key losses: West Nassau, Bartram Trail
This week: Lincoln tournament (Mar 13-14)
Comment: After 6-0 start, Bolles has gone 3-2 since then, including a pair of losses to Bartram Trail and West Nassau.
